Currently, one of the main global problems is deforestation. In Colombia, cattle ranching is one of the fundamental causes of this situation, since millions of hectares of forests and native jungles are cut down each year to feed and maintain the cattle. The regions most affected by this phenomenon have been Meta, Caquetá and Casanare, due to the fact that in these areas the main economic activity is extensive cattle ranching.
A great option to combat deforestation in these areas are the Cacay trees, which is a native species of the Colombian Amazon and Orinoquía. Wild Cacay is found in these regions, and by giving value to the tree through our Cacay oil, we promote the care of this exotic and important species. Each tree is a great source of Cacay nuts and absorbs large amounts of CO2. Therefore, taking care of each Cacay tree and its surroundings is of great benefit to the environment.
The oil is extracted from the nuts through a completely sustainable process, called cold pressing. No waste is generated in the oil extraction process. The shell and shell of the walnut serve as organic fertilizer, while the flour obtained from cold pressing is a great source of protein for humans. With this flour you can make healthy shakes, cakes, pancakes and other culinary delights.
Compared to most skin care products, cacay oil is a 100% Colombian product, cruelty free and does not contain any chemicals or parabens.
