We are CaryO
CaryO was born in 2017, when we decided to change the cattle pastures of our family farm in Colombia for cacay forests. We have already planted more than 13,000 cacay trees, native to the Amazon and Colombian Orinoquía. We also work with peasant families in the Amazon, so that they can live by collecting wild cacay nuts and protecting the cacay trees and the Amazon rainforest that surrounds them.
We are working for a greener and more sustainable future...
Cacay oil doesn’t just have benefits for your skinOur metrics show it:
- 50 families benefitted
- 4000 hectares of Amazon rainforest preserved
- 13000 trees planted
- Carbono neutral
The story of Pacho
The guardian of the cacay and the Amazon rainforest
Pacho was born on the Brazilian border and, like many, was displaced by rubber production. He lived through the devastating effects of coca and now faces cattle deforestation. But his ancestral knowledge of cacay has been key to showing his community that it is possible to live off the forest without destroying it. Thanks to Pacho, we have learned that the wild cacay not only preserves the Amazon rainforest, but also offers a sustainable way of life for those who inhabit it.

Pacho, who opened the doors of the Amazon to us and became our first wild cacay producer ally.
